By reviewing in-game scenarios and decision-making, we can improve a player's tactical understanding of the game. Working on your skills is great, but these skills are useless if you do not know how to apply them. Building a relationship with one of our video coaches is designed to promote consistency and prepare you for the highest level of competition. Video analysis with Upfront introduces self-reflection, addressing both the physical and mental sides of the game.

What's Included:
Your assigned coach analyzes 1 game a week, uploading teaching clips and highlights to your Upfront+ Video Locker. The clips provide corrections and refinement in all of our 8 phases of the shift. Shift breakdowns will be complemented with NHL examples. These 8 phases will be discussed in your intro call.
Advantage programs start with an online intro video call shortly after sign-up, where player's development plans will be devised upon completion. After 4 game breakdowns over 4 weeks, we will conduct a 30 minute online video call to go through all of your clips and discuss areas we can work on for the next month. We are here to provide mentorship and advice the whole month via phone calls and messaging.
Have curated highlights from your game breakdowns uploaded to our Prospects database. Showcase your best plays for the hockey world to see. Game highlights, tournament highlights and season highlights can all be organized professionally by our team to help you get noticed. Share your Prospect profile with others.
Your assigned coach will complement your shift breakdowns with NHL video examples that are specifically for you. You will be walked through how the best players in the world execute what we have explained in your individual breakdowns. Combining these two really helps players visualize our teachings and then apply them within their game. (You will also receive the weekly NHL examples that all our players receive via Upfront+).
After the registration and payment process is completed, a coach from Upfront Sports will contact you through email to get started.
In most cases, our coaches will access your video/shifts through InStat. If your team does not upload to InStat, we will work with you to find an alternative solution to gain access to your video (ex. Dropbox, Google Drive, Youtube, etc).
We will be in communication with you via Upfront+ app. Through the app, your coach will provide you with a list of available times and dates for your consultation call to take place. In the meantime, all your teaching clips will be uploaded to your locker for review. We ask that you review these videos attentively and have questions or comments ready for the call.
Players are free to choose the games they want to be analyzed. However, we recommend selecting your most recent and competitive games for review. Our team will confirm the chosen games before beginning the analysis.
We have qualified coaches for position-specific development of defence and forwards. Based on your registration, we will pair you with the coach we feel is best for your individual needs.
After Upfront determines which games you would like to have analyzed and you have been paired with a coach, it typically takes 24 hours per game analyzed. For example, you can expect to have three games analyzed within three days of being paired with a coach and sharing a video. Once the videos are analyzed and uploaded to your Upfront+ locker, the consultation call will be scheduled.
